Google Play Music

I have used this for free in my car while driving from phone. The recent update now forces video ads to play and blocks the music control area. I don't mind ads but the videos are dangerous and now they block the screen so you can't skip after the 15 or 30 sec begining. I think they should have a setting for car mode that would only play audio ads. I used Google music for long time and bared the change to YT music, but I can't used it any longer. And it not always 1 ad...

Great app, if you have the subscription for it, otherwise meh. It's basically youtube, but only loading the audio instead of video, which is where the subscription comes in. the subscription allows you to listen without ads (wish advertisers would understand no one wants ads), "download" music to listen to offline in Netflix fashion (meaning a ton of restrictions and it after deletes after a time), and allows an option to prevent your phone from sleeping so you can finally use it as a mp3.

The free version is almost unusable, and you know it's by design. Two ads before every song, a pop up ad that covers the video controls unless you tap on the X, reminders to upgrade to premium after every ad that you have to tap away, can't use the app unless your screen is on and the app is open, reminder to upgrade to premium if you navigate away from the app while music is playing, and now lyrics are locked behind premium. It's just so greedy, but I'm not going to pay $14 a month for premium.

I've been using YouTube Music for a long time and it's ok. I like how it has the video's along with the song I am listening to, but I kind of wish they would elevate to a higher audio quality tier kind of like Tidal or Qobuz perhaps...They could call it ?YouTube Music Hi-Fi' and have a CD quality / hi res option and I'd be willing to pay the extra amount for it just saying. But lol I just think that would be awesome though. But overall it's a decent enough music app to use. ??

Excellent music app so far on my free trial, will continue to use this app instead of Spotify in future ( funds permitting! ). Sound quality is far superior as is volume ( first time I've had to turn the volume down on my headphones in a long time! ). love it adore it and the playlists and suggestions are great to. Into a lot of 60's psychedelia at the moment plus Kasabian and the like so suits me fine while out walking around my local haunts and beats always singing dancing and moving my feet!

I wish it would just play the song that comes next in my downloads Playlist in alphabetical order instead of going to a whole different song. Please fix this. It's really irritating. UPDATE: The app keeps stopping my music or closes down completely, and I dont like it. I'm paying for an app that continues to crash and stop. Please fix this.

Things are getting smaller u0026 smaller! this latest update has the like/unlike, save, lyrics buttons smaller that I can hardly find them unless I have the phone right near my face (my vision is 20/20). it would be nice to be able to sort the Playlist order when saving songs, sometimes a-z is better. only play what is in the list, YT don't add to it. I miss the unlike button skipping the song. Having stats would be nice. genre, listening time, etc It would be nice to set shuffle in your profile.

I like YT music. It will actually give some good recommendations from time to time. It also makes sense to have if you're a YT premium user. I think the UI could be improved. From currently playing: tapping the artist's name takes you to the artist, tapping the album cover should take you to the album. Long press should enlarge album cover for whoever wants that, but navigating to album should not be in a context menu. When a track is disliked it should never play again. Lot of love needed here!

I really enjoy YouTube music, and it's actually a great app for listening to music! I'm not sure if most music app does this, but I especially enjoy my recaps that I get every three months. I'd say the app accurately tracks my listening time. I don't know if it's my headphones, but sometimes my music glitches, and there are often changes to the like button size etc that go back and forth, but I generally don't mind it. I definitely recommend this app to anyone wanting to listen to music!

The free version is actually horrendous. Ads after every song/play of a song, if you get an ad, skip it and then select another song, it gives you another ad, most ads have a drop-down box with a link to their website that prevents you from swiping the 'currently listening' box down to pick a different song, said drop-down box doesn't close automatically if the ad ends or is skipped. The literal only good thing about the free version is that you can listen to music, everything else is terrible

More ads than ever. I've noticed in the past few weeks that im getting an ad after each song I listen to. Half the time, it's 2 ads where you have to watch both before the next song plays. I used to LOVE the YT music app, but now it's a chore, especially when I'm working and can't skip all the time. I can't afford to buy premium or even pay for other music app subscriptions. I appreciated how the number of ads were manageable, but now, it's 1 after EVERY song.

I've had no problems with this app so far but just today, I've received an email from their team that my subscription was cancelled on 10/28/25 even though the app automatically deducted my account for the monthly payment last 10/27/25. Is that even fair? I don't want a refund but instead help me renew my account without me having to go through that process all over again. Also do respond to my emails, thank you.

Great app with a massive variety of music, with very good variations of mixes, and a reasonable free version. I've found issues with having large playlists (1k+) that don't exist on Spotify, and recently there have been a few corrupted songs. The app on mobile and especially the web version become incredibly slow with big playlists, with the web version completely stopping regularly..

Huge library for building play lists. Almost every song I could think of was available to me. Two minor gripes: 1. Tapping a notification for new music doesn't always get me to the relevant screen, and instead just opens the app to wherever I had it last. 2. I would like an "undo" feature if I am in the middle of a playlist and I accidentally queue up a different song while browsing the app. That way I can just go back to what I was playing without having songs I recently heard.

Hands down, one of the best music streaming apps out there. YouTube Music separates itself from other music streaming apps by including YouTube music videos, lyric videos, and live performances uploaded to YouTube. The only thing I would love to see implemented is an easier way to add songs to the queue or "Play Next." I'd love to be able to swipe left or right on a song to add it to the queue or play it directly after, and have it NOT be changed when I hit shuffle.

I love it but I hope to get a feature to customize the kind of songs that play next and be able to set priority on the selection criteria. Like selecting Language, Genre(and subgenre), Theme, Artist, Feel, tone, mood, etc. I absolutely hate it when the random song that plays next suddenly transitions from Death Metal to Rock or Classic to Indie. This is a real problem for people like me who enjoy a wide variety in music. Also, a Karaoke section would be nice.

YT Music is great in some ways but could be better. Pros: Recommendations are good and I've discovered a lot of songs and artists that I like. Cons: the Speed Dial/Quick Picks features will include songs/artists I listened to ONCE instead of my favorite ones that I keep on repeat, making it inaccurate. Suggestions: Making the app more customizable, e.g. custom colors and home page, would set it apart and improve the aesthetic. edit: PLEASE make the weird dice thingy on the Speed Dial optional.

I've been using YT music for a long while and I've gotta say, it's way easier to use then Spotify and it has all of those YouTube songs you can listen to there but not on other platforms. the ads are short in the free version and you can create playlists, ques, Ai mixes, etc! But the premium version is where it really shines. You can download as much music as you want and if you just get YT premium you get YT music Premium for FREE. so now you have access to all of it! 5 stars.

I love this app, the premium and offline play is perfect for work because I pick up no service in there and it doesn't eat up my battery, although I would love an option for it to keep shuffle on so I don't have to turn it on Everytime I change a song, same with the repeat. Other than that it's amazing and easily better than other music apps. Update: the speed dial is screwing so much that it's practically useless, please fix along with it remembering that I had my stuff on shuffle or repeat!

I've been using this app for a couple of years now, and i can't say that I have many complaints. however, i accidentally turned "Voting on" on my Playlist, and now my 670 songs are completely rearranged and longer how they used to be. songs i literally NEVER listen to are at the very top of Playlist, and songs i listen to every day are at the bottom. there is no way i can undo it or fix it, besides having to fix every single individual song back in its original order. it's just very stressful.

Tous ces titres à porter d'oreilles c'est génial. J'adore le principe de la radio çà me permet de découvrir plein de chansons.

Fonctionne très bien, très bon choix de musique avec all access, importer sa musique depuis son ordinateur est vraiment très bien, il manque juste un petit lecteur dans la barre de notifications quand on est dans une autre appli.

Je ne trouve même plus ma musique.. je désinstalle.

Déjà abonné a spotify j'ai testé Google mais la qualité musicale et l'appli sont de moins bonne qualité. Je reste chez spotify premium. Merci quand même a Google.

Pénible de devoir forcer la fermeture de cette appli dont je ne me sers pas et qui est impossible à desinstaller.

J'ai pris l'abonnement pour tester et c'est très bien. Le seul reproche c'est la place que prend la musique sur le téléphone. Pourquoi ne pas avoir la possibilité de stocker sur la SD externe à la manière de Deezer ?

le service est aussi bien que spotify mais il manque : - la mise en cache des playlists faite par les autres personnes... - le partage de playlist et/ou morceau à des amis (abonné ou non au service) - une application sur mac pour la mise en cache... (Car en vacances quand on a pas de connexion c'est mieux d'écouter de la musique avec son ordi qu'avec son GSM)

Etant habitue de deezer ou spotify, j aimerais voir une présentation possible sous forme de liste plutôt que des jaquettes (x millions de titres a decouvrir en jaquette ??? )

1ère impression: Pas encore au niveau de Spotify! Le visuel est trop bordélique... Après utilisation, consomme trop de données (toujours par rapport à Spotify), l'appli n'est-elle pas une belle usine à gaz qui tourne trop en arrière-plan ??

« Sauvegarde» de ses musiques, écoute + stockage de nombreux albums sur son mobile ou sa tablette. Contenu français et divers. Bibliothèque musicale disponible sur tous ses appareils. Prix très abordable si on profite du prix de lancement en France.

Codé avec les pieds, on a beau l'enlever de la mémoire, il n'arrête pas de se relancer et de tourner à fond. Si je ne le kill pas, il me bouffe totalement la batterie en 3 heures. Il représente a lui seul 70% de la consommation d'énergie!!! Grâce à cette application, mon téléphone devient inutilisable et il est impossible de la desinstaller.

Je l'utilise tous les jours depuis le all access mais serait il possible de déplacer les musiques téléchargé sur la carte mémoire car ça prend pas mal de place.

Sympa comme player. Par contre devoir entrer sa carte bancaire pour profiter de l'essai gratuit, la bonne blague !

Some examples of what is not there yet: Sync curated and shared playlists ability to share (other than Google+) APIs to interact with your library (e.g. migrate from other ecosystem) The ability to mix own MP3 in the cloud is nice though.

Comment un artiste populaire francais comme Francis Cabrel peut avoir été écarté de la liste de google music? Peu importe le prix, mais lorsque l'on propose un logiciel payant, on se doit de mettre sur le marché un contenu un peu plus dense qu'un logiciel gratuit.

Par rapport à deezer on ne peut pas mettre des artistes en favori, c'est dommage, aussi j'ai l'impression que ça consomme plus de bande passante, toujours pas de Metallica, comme deezer. Les couleurs ne sont pas jolies on dirait qu'elles viennent d'une autre époque. En revanche la recherche d'artistes similaires me semble très pertinente.

Pour lire un mp3 stocké sur le téléphone, le lecteur de Google est nettement mois bon que celui fourni de base avec les samsung galaxy. Le son semble étouffé ou avec une vitesse d échantillonnage moindre. Pourtant je ne fais pas de streaming : le fichier est sur la sd card...

Deezer est encore le meilleur, encore un effort Mr Google. Je suis pourtant un amateur des applis Google. Il manque des albums pas de renseignements de bio des artistes. Pas la peine de refaire un Deezer google, mais il y a de la marge. Il faudra faire mieux pour les 4 étoiles.

La synchro des musiques est beaucoup plus lente que sur spotify, car j'ai l'impression qu'elles pèsent plus lourd... par exemple pour environ 900 titres synchronisés, ça me prend 7,3 Go, soit 8 Mo par titre en moyenne!! On devrait pouvoir choisir la qualité...

Depuis le all acces je m'en sers tout les jours. Mais l'appli manque un peu de clarté entre streaming et musique déjà sur le tel. Il manque aussi la possibilité d'enregistrer les morceaux sur la carte mémoire plutôt que sur la ROM parce que ça bouf vite de la place.
